Dr. Daniel Lee is a clinical psychologist with a doctorate from Adler University.  He has over twenty years of experience providing individual, group, and family psychotherapy.  He utilizes cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) which is an evidence-based therapy shown to be effective for treating such things as depression, anxiety, obsessive-compulsive disorder, anger management issues, low self-esteem, social anxiety, and panic attacks.  He has an integrative approach to psychotherapy that along with cognitive behavioral therapy utilizes a variety of therapeutic approaches in an integrated manner.

He believes strongly that therapy needs to be customized to meet the unique needs and preferences of each client.  In order to provide highly individualized treatment, he regularly incorporates the use of scientifically validated psychological tests to assist in all aspects of the treatment process (assessment, diagnosis, treatment planning, and outcome measurement).  A comprehensive assessment and a thorough understanding of the client’s background and clinical issues are necessary prerequisites to being able to construct and implement a comprehensive treatment approach that adequately addresses all of the dimensions of a client’s clinical issues.

Dr. Lee has extensive experience working in treatment facilities and programs that specialize in meeting the needs of children, adolescents, and families.  Developing and implementing a customized treatment plan that meets your child’s needs often requires the use of a variety of therapeutic approaches and interventions.  Depending on the clinical issues and the unique needs of the client and family, a mixture of individual therapy, family therapy, and parental involvement is often necessary to adequately address the issues that are bringing the client and his/her family into therapy.  Coordinating with schools can also be an important part of adequately addressing a child’s or adolescent’s academic issues.
